The Toyota V6 HiLux Heroes precision driving team perform a number of specialist moves during their fast-paced showground and stadium shows*.
The following is a list of some of the main stunts performed during the show.
The Pack: The four V6 HiLux Heroes drive two-abreast, bumper-to-bumper and door handle-to-door handle at speed around the outside of the arena.
HiLux Train: The four V6 HiLux Heroes drive nose-to-tail at speed around the outside of the arena with hardly any visible gap between each HiLux.
Four-by-Four: The four V6 HiLux Heroes drive four-abreast around the outside of the arena, travelling door handle-to-door handle in parallel formation.1
Whoop-T-Doos: The V6 HiLux Heroes launch over parallel ramps in a variety of formations, throwing them onto two wheels while spaced only centimetres apart.
Mid-track Mayhem: The four V6 HiLux Heroes charge towards the middle of the arena from different angles, narrowly missing each other.
The Muster: Lined up side-by-side, door handle-to-door handle, the four V6 HiLux Heroes drive in tight formation in a clockwise circle in the middle of the arena. Once one clockwise circle is completed they immediately switch direction and perform the same move in an anti-clockwise direction.
Circle Work: The V6 HiLux Heroes perform a variety of tight circle turns and spins separated by mere centimetres.
The Amazing Flying HiLux: One of the V6 HiLux Heroes launches 10 metres through the air from one ramp to another as the other three V6 HiLux Heroes drive beneath it with only centimetres of clearance.
Thread the Needle: A combination of drifting and precision driving, the four V6 HiLux Heroes drive at speed around the outside of the arena while each takes a turn at weaving from the back of the pack to the front.
TRD Two-wheel Challenge: One of the most experienced drivers in the team drives one of the V6 HiLux Heroes while balancing on its two driver-side wheels. Only a small number of drivers in the world have successfully mastered the art of driving on two wheels on a solid (eg tarmac) surface. The difficulty factor is magnified greatly on loose or uneven gravel surfaces.
*Stunts are performed where venue size and conditions allow and are performed by specially trained and experienced professional drivers. These stunts should not be performed without such training and experience.
